Due to rain all day on Saturday - the class winners in Super Stock and Stock were determined by the quickest qualified in each class.

The Mopar Hemi Challenge Winner was Jim Daniels at an 8.511, 155.36mph

The is the official word from Jay Hullinger, Director, Division 3 NHRA.

 

After Two Rounds of Qualifying on Friday.....there is a new name at the top of the list:

1. Jim Daniels 8.511 / 155.36

2. Charlie Westcott Jr.  8.533 / 157.25

3. Dave Barton  8.571 / 155.56

4. Gary Wolkwitz 8.599 / 153.54

5. Steve Hebert  8.640 / 153.18

6. John Rains  8.689 / 152.55

7. Jim Pancake  8.692 / 153.02

8. John Baughman  8.727 / 150.83

9. Don Bales 8.867 / 148.20

10. Russ Campbell  9.102 / 144.72

11. Jerry Daily  9.49 / 140.40

 

New names to the field, atleast we haven't seen them in a while - John Baughman and Jerry Daily.  Daily is running a Red Dodge Dart with the name Ray Daily on the side.

Another round of qualifying will commence this morning (Saturday) with Mopar Hemi Challenge competition set to kick off at 1pm - weather permitting - and they are expecting weather.  We will post a final round ladder sheet at the end of the event along with some new shots to follow.

Just a note - There are more Darts in the field than Barracudas - 6 Darts to 5 Barracudas.
